  • Preparation of moderately complex federal and state income tax returns for individuals, fiduciaries, partnerships and S corporations.
  • Preparation of accounting workpapers necessary in the tax return process for entities.
  • Research and resolve tax issues and incorporate federal planning into tax returns. 
  • Interaction with clients.

Qualifications:

  • At least five years’ relevant experience as described above.
  • Strong working knowledge of trial balances and journal entries.
  • Strong Excel and Quickbooks skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of UltraTax software a plus.

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting and CPA a plus but not required.

  • Develop, establish and maintain a Chart of Accounts
  • Maintain and balance the general ledger in an accurate, complete, and up-to-date manner

Job Description:

  • Provide administrative support to partners and staff – including, but not limited to preparing engagement letters, tax processing, e-filing returns, and sending returns to clients
  • Handle confidential correspondence and new client set up
  • Scan, archive, and maintain hard copy and electronic files
  • Compose, proofread, and review the routine correspondence
  • Post-out-going mail; prepare certified/priority mail, Federal Express packages, etc.; arrange for Courier services
  • Take the lead in coordinating meeting facilities including video conferencing, relevant documents and materials, ordering meals, etc.
